The Eugene C. Lee Papers comprise materials produced and gathered by Lee as University of California administrator and Institute of Governmental Studies director. The collection consists of correspondence, memoranda, reports, minutes, and other materials on topics including the reorganization of UC administration in the 1960s, the issue of collective bargaining by UC faculty (including materials from the Berkeley Faculty Association), and IGS projects such as the Census Service Facility and the State Data Program. Other subjects touched on include the debate over UC tuition, the revision of the Master Plan for Higher Education, and the appointment of a student to the Board of Regents.
